Venous disease, which is more common that heart disease and peripheral artery disease combined, is underdiagnosed and undertreated in the United States. This puts the quality of life health, well-being, and lives of many of us at risk.

Multiple factors contribute to the delay in the recognition and treatment of problem veins.  Vein disease is neglected in most physicians training programs, leading to many doctors being unaware of the significance of vein disease and the modern means of diagnosis and treatment.

Vein disease symptoms can be subtle, mimicking other conditions and making self-diagnosis difficult. Even if you are aware that you need to see a vein specialist, life is busy and can get in the way of you seeking  healthcare. For some, concerns over finances can result in delays.

At Vein Specialists of the South, we understand your concerns and offer you several convenient vein screening options in Central Georgia. Learn how our vein specialists have created solutions to help you receive screening and care for varicose veinsspider veinslymphedema, and more.
