Dr. Kenneth Harper at Vein Specialists of the South and Terri Harper, MSN, FNP-C, at Spa Medical have been recognized worldwide for their work in Phlebology. From speaking at international conferences to mentoring new Phlebology doctors, Vein Specialists of the South has established their practice as a premiere teaching institution. Recently, in an effort to further educate and train professionals in the industry, they created The Comprehensive Vein Training Center®.

The Comprehensive Vein Training Center® offers valuable education and training for vein professionals. Doctors and other providers are educated on vein disease, cosmetic sclerotherapy, the newest techniques and treatment options for vein disease, and the mechanics of running a Phlebology practice.

About Dr. Kenneth Harper

Dr. Kenneth Harper is the founder of Vein Specialists of the South, LLC. Since 1997, Vein Specialists of the South has focused on the diagnosis and minimally invasive treatments for varicose veins, spider veins, venous ulcers, and leg swelling. As a leader in Comprehensive Vein Care®, Dr. Harper performed the first endovenous radiofrequency closure procedure in Georgia (early 2000). Endovenous radiofrequency closure is a minimally invasive alternative to vein stripping. Since 2000 he has personally evaluated more than 22,000 patients and performed more than 18,000 Closure procedures. With that kind of innovation and experience you can rest assured that you are in good hands.

Dr. Kenneth E. Harper is a board certified by the American Board of Surgery (1986) and was recognized in the first class of Diplomats of American Board of Phlebology in 2008.

In 2009, Dr. Harper achieved certification from the ARDMS as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) and is credentialed by CCI as a Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RPhS). The vascular lab at Vein Specialists of the South is accredited by the ARDMS as an IAC Vascular Lab for Peripheral Venous Testing. Our sonographers are Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT). These credentials are a testimony to our pursuit of excellence in the diagnosis and delivery of vein care.
